PowerPoint-How to Fix NB Power

David Coon is the Executive Director of the Conservation Council of New Brunswick. Hi life’s work has included the protection of the province’s environment and as a watchdog for polluters.

 

David’s presentation focused on “How to Fix NB Power”. The segment of his PowerPoint presented at the December 9th, 2009 Summit portrays an energy strategy alternative to the proposed selling of our public utility.

David Brown a member of the New Brunswick Bar for thirty years is the Executive Director of the New Brunswick Nurses Union.

 

David provided an analysis of the Memorandum of Understanding in straight forward-lay persons’ language. The following PowerPoint expresses very clearly the significant lack of compelling arguments in favour of the proposed sale.

Tom Mann is a graduate of Dalhousie University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, from UNB, with a Law degree and from the Harvard Trade Union Program. In April 2008, Tom was trained by Al Gore to become one of the 2200 world wide presenters of Mr. Gore’s Climate Change messaging. Tom is the Executive Director of the New Brunswick Union and a vice president of the New Brunswick Federation of Labour.

Michael Buzas is the president of Elmtree Resources Ltd.  a mining and manufacturing business located in the Chaleur Region.  Elmtree supplies limestone for industrial pollution reduction and as a soil nutrient for farmers.  Mr. Buzas holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from UNB and an MBA from Queens University.  

Michael’s presentation entitled “Collateral Damage” overviews the implications of the proposed sale on Gloucester County businesses and the future.
